Donate to preserve the memorabilia of Mecklenburg County’s Historically Black Schools
The Historically Black Schools of Mecklenburg County (HBSMC) is supported financially by the yearly dues of members, fundraisers, and donations. Many families have selected to support the organization by donating via memorial funds, estate property gifts, birthdays and anniversaries in recognition of family member(s). All donations will be recorded and displayed on the HBSMC website donor list unless other requests are made known to the organization.
Please consider giving to support the mission of the organization which is to preserve artifacts, memorabilia and history of the Mecklenburg County Black Schools; the Thyne Institute, Mecklenburg County Training School, West End High School and East End High School.
Ways to Give:
1. Send your financial gift(s) or contribution(s) by mail to the address below. Checks or money orders are accepted.
2. Memorialize or honor someone you love. If you would like to honor someone or donate in memory of a loved one, please consider making a donation of financial support and/or condolences in their honor and/or memory.
Information to provide in honor of your loved one:
The Name and address of the honoree or deceased
The name and address of family member or contact person
Indicate if the donation may be published or if gift is anonymous.
