About Us
This organization came into existence 9 years ago (January 2014). It consists of alumni from the old East End and West End high schools, the old Thyne Institute, and the old Mecklenburg County Training School.
Its mission is to collect, assemble and preserve for posterity (future generations) a collection of artifacts, memorabilia, and profiles. Then to secure a facility worthy of housing and displaying the collection for the educational benefit for the public.
The organization was incorporated in the State of Virginia in September 2014 and was also granted a 501 (c) (3) status of the Internal Revenue Code and classified as a public charity organization.
Meeting Information: Meetings are currently held by conference call at 5: 00 pm on the 4th Monday.
