About Us
This organization came into existence in January 2014. It consists of alumni from the old East End and West End High Schools, the old Thyne Institute, and the old Mecklenburg County Training School.
Our Vision:
To display and preserve a Black History collection in a facility open to the public and online, from four historically black schools for posterity, and to promote educational programs and activities.
The organization was incorporated in the State of Virginia in September 2014 and was also granted a 501 (c) (3) status of the Internal Revenue Code and classified as a public charity organization.
